In the so-called post-modern, post-industrial society one sees massive growth in the number and scope of various collectivist movements. Some, like the whole "woke"/"politically correct" movement bear many signs of a cult. They tolerate little decent, have their saints and martyrs and clearly are more than happy to identify and pursue those they consider to the heretics.
Why is it? Don't we know enough to know the folly of it. Of course we would - if we used the knowledge available to us. But sometimes we don't. Why is it?
I think for some people faith is necessary to feel some level of comfort. And that is neither right, nor wrong, neither good, nor bad. It may just be an emotional need.
And this may be something one may want to think about. If you feel you need faith in your life, don't feel bad. Just, perhaps, be careful in choosing to whom you dedicate your faith. Don't become a victim of a cult trap.
Do your own research, use your own brain, form your own conclusions.
